Q. Is your system HIPAA compliant?
A. Our system is internally audited and HIPAA compliant. Using SSL encryption protocols all transfers of data to and from our server are encrypted, just like using your bank.
Q. Is your system approved by the FDA?
A. Icardiogram’s system is approved as a PACS system (21 CFR 892.2050) and as a medical image digitizer (21 CFR 892.2030) by the FDA (K032324)

Q. What is a Web-Based PACS system?
A. A Web-Based PACS system is designed to utilize new compression systems to remove the requirement of a local server. You can run completely from a broadband internet connection and view echocardiograms and patient data. If you would like a local copy you can add an iVP Internet appliance to retain your study data onsite.

Q. What type of echo equipment can you support?
A. We can support virtually all echo equipment. If it is analog and has a video out jack we can use it to be a VCR replacement. If you have a digital system we can accept all forms of DICOM media and Multimedia formats.

Q. Do you have a reporting system?
A. Yes, we have an excellent system that can be customized to your needs. We also have multiple templates for echo, carotid, and many vascular study types.
Q. Can you accept patient data from digital studies?
A. iCardiogram systems can use all DICOM data given to it and populate that information to our reporting system.
Q. Can I use your system to refer to other physicians?
A. Yes, the system has a referral section on each study in which you can notify someone that you would like for them to look at the particular study. They receive an email, click on the link and can access the study with their previously approved username and password.
Q. Can I see a previous study on a particular patient?
A. Yes, there is a drop-down menu on every study that allows you to move from one study for a patient to another with only one click.
Q. How long are my studies online?
A. Your studies are always online for the time required by your individual state to do so. They are never archived or put in "deep" storage.
Q. Do I pay per study or is it a standard fee?
A. We have pay-per-study option, but most of our customers use our unlimited low monthly charge for unlimited study uploads.
Q. Does it cost more money for each physician to access the system?
A. No, you may designate additional physicians to view echocardiograms at no extra charge.
Q. Can just anyone sign up for an account and see my data.
A. No, each registration is checked for written approval to access particular sites. The iCardiogram site administrator controls access to all healthcare information.
Q. What are your support hours and response times?
A. iCardiogram's policy is to respond to support calls within 30 minutes M-F 8am -7pm EST. Calls received at other times will be responded to within an hour.
